Artweeks 2024 BIG 20 - OVADA

OVADA is another arts organisation in Oxford that I have built a relationship with over the last few years. I had my MA in Education group exhibition here in 2015 and was honoured to be awarded the OVADA development prize back in 2017. I’ve also run workshops here and value the contribution OVADA make to the local arts community. This was a great show, it’s a great space for a salon style exhibition and a fitting event to help celebrate 20 years of contribution to the arts.

The Oxfordshire Artweeks art exhibition - BIG 20  - celebrated two decades of creativity and community engagement at OVADA Gallery!

OVADA marked this milestone with 45 participating artists selected by Lucy Stopford, Sarah Lowes and Ysella Tucker. In preparation for the Opening Party on 11 May 2024, we witnessed the creation of a mural on the outside of our warehouse gallery by local artist Julius Muraga as he captured the essence of the OVADA community

During our Opening Party visitors were invited to colour in Julius Muraga’s mural.
